I picked up Never Lie expecting a fast-paced thriller, and it absolutely delivered. The story grabbed my attention early, and the tension kept building until I found myself wanting to read just one more chapter.
One of my favourite parts was trying to piece together the clues, especially the initials. I guessed “PL” correctly, but I was convinced “EJ” referred to someone else, so the reveal still managed to catch me off guard. I enjoyed how that misdirection played with my assumptions and kept me guessing.
Not everything felt entirely convincing, though. A few moments seemed a little stretched, and some events required me to suspend my disbelief. Still, the twists and psychological tension more than made up for those weaker points.
Overall, Never Lie was a clever, gripping and highly entertaining read. It may not be perfectly realistic, but it kept me invested and guessing until the end.
