Personal Review

I picked up Never Lie expecting a fast-paced thriller, and it definitely delivered on that. The book is gripping right from the start, and the tension builds in a way that keeps you turning pages. One thing I really enjoyed was trying to piece together the clues like with the initials. I had guessed “PL” correctly but was convinced “EJ” referred to someone else, so the reveal still managed to surprise me. That clever misdirection is where the book really shines. At the same time, some parts felt slightly stretched, particularly around how certain events played out. While the psychological twists were strong, a few elements required a bit of suspension of disbelief. Overall, it’s a clever, engaging read that balances suspense and shock value well. Not perfect in terms of realism, but definitely entertaining and hard to put down until I finish it.
